The IP2M will be held at “Genopolys”, Montpellier, France. Genopolys is a modern building custom-built for the communication of science, physically located between the IGH and the Institute of
Functional Genomics (IGF), and next to the new Faculty of Medicine of Montpellier. Genopolys comprises a lecture hall with capacity for 96 people and an annexed open hall for coffee breaks, meals and poster sessions. It was designed by a collaboration between the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), the National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM) and the University of Montpellier. The creation of Genopolys aimed at promoting interactions between citizens, scientists, clinicians and industrials by organizing scientific events, meetings and workshops, with the spirit of communicating science and knowledge. The lecture hall is equipped with modern projection and sound systems, which make it an ideal space to host scientific conferences. The location of Genopolys in Montpellier makes it easily accessible by public transportation. Indeed, it is directly connected to the city’s train station by a modern tramway line and several buses.

The IGH is a state-of-the-art research institute coordinated by the CNRS and the University of Montpellier. The IGH possesses an exceptional environment of an extraordinary scientific level. High-
profile senior scientists develop their scientific research in it, and it is a leading institute for the training of students and post-doctoral researchers. The IGH is part of the Campus “Arnaud de Villeneuve”, together with the IGF and the Centre for Structural Biochemistry (CBS), and it is in close proximity to other research centers in the city, such as the Montpellier Research Institute in Cancerology (IRCM), the Montpellier Cell Biology Research Centre (CRBM), the Montpellier Molecular Genetics Institute (IGMM), the Montpellier Research Institute in Infectious Diseases (IRIM), the Montpellier Institute of Neurosciences (INM), the Institute for Regenerative Medicine and Biotherapy (IRMB), and the University of Montpellier.

Montpellier is the seventh largest city in France, with 275,000 inhabitants, and is a center for cultural events. In the Middle Ages the town became important due to the establishment in the 13th
century of the University of Montpellier, whose Faculty of Medicine is the world’s oldest still in activity. The Museum and Conservatory of Anatomy housed in the ancient Faculty of Medicine buildings date from the 18th century and has particular historical and cultural interest.
