life of cancer cells

Summary

The life of cancer cellsFollowing the great success of the Young Life Scientists’ Symposium (YLS) “Genome Stability: a Lifetime Challenge”, which was organized last year on the 22nd and 23rd of November by PhD Students and young Postdocs from the Institute of Human Genetics (IGH) in Montpellier, France, the second IGH PhD Students & Postdocs Meeting (IP2M) will take place on the 12th and 13th of December, 2019.
The meeting is organized by a new group of motivated PhD students and Postdocs of the institute, and is supported by the direction of the institute.

This year we have decided to dedicate the meeting to “The life of cancer cells”. This topic encompasses different topics of the research done in the institute, as genome instability, cell division, cell migration, and gives an opening towards translational research.

During the IP2M, PhD Students and young Postdocs will have a unique opportunity to present their work and to receive feedback from colleagues and senior researchers. Indeed, each session will be introduced by a keynote presentation from a renowned scientist. In addition to the scientific content, the aim is also to create opportunities for exchanges between students and researchers and to establish new collaborations in a stimulating atmosphere. We hope that this meeting organized by young scientists from and at the IGH will be the second of a long list.
